Hot off the heels of the release of PONDER, AJ Peoples returns with a striking new music video for the single ‘All I Need’.
Leaning into the romantic, colourful nature of the single, the music video showcases a fun-filled side to AJ Peoples’s creativity. The new music video builds on the single, adding a cinematic dimension to the project’s artistry. AJ’s independent authenticity shines through, matching the track’s relatability to give it an uplifting feel.
”For this project I made beats as if I were producing for an established artist, looking for inspiration but making sure I brought my own creativity to the table. During the time I made “All I Need” I was really enjoying music from Amine. My thought process was to produce something with a similar air to Amine’s song “Charmander.” Trying to capture a fun/light/energetic rhythm that has a bounce.The beat I made was so infectious that I posted it on my social media platforms while rapping a freestyle, not anticipating anything to occur from it – I was purely posting because I loved the beat so much. As time passed and I forgot about the beat for “All I Need” I had several friends remind me how much they enjoyed the music and that I should finish the song! This isn’t my usual process for making music, but I knew if people were asking for it – it was up to Peoples to deliver.”
Hailing from New York City, AJ Peoples was born between the haves and have-nots. He grew up as an observer, internalising all of his experiences. Finding his feet creatively opened doors for him, allowing him to approach hip-hop from a fresh perspective, incorporating his unique experiences to make something that feels wildly contemporary. Aiming to connect with his audience, he debuted in 2018 and has been constantly breaking down barriers since. Looking forward to 2025, he lines up with new music on the horizon.
