In his first outing since the 2023 debut single ‘Heaven and Home’, the Jamaican-based J-Summa returns to the limelight with the new track ‘You’re Not Alone’. Placing mental health awareness into the heart of the new single, J-Summa is looking to turn heads once again with his emphatic brand of soulful grooves.
Delivering shards of wisdom with a warming honesty, the expressive nature is brimming with an appreciation for life. The authentic encouragement within a vivid and joyous setting wraps around the listener, fuelled by rhythmic drums and layers of sparkling guitars.
The star at the centre is the lead vocal, delivered passionately and soaring over the instrumentation. Themes of optimism and faith shine and glimmer, empowering the audience to give life their all. It’s an uplifting anthem and a perfect moment for growth for the soulful one to watch.
Speaking about the thematic nature of the single, J-Summa dives in, “‘You’re Not Alone’ is a feel-good anthem telling people that they don’t have to carry their pains and burdens by themselves. It’s ok to open up, it’s ok to share your troubles and concerns with your loved ones. ‘You’re Not Alone’ is a song to uplift and inspire the souls of people that they are not alone on this earth and people genuinely care about them.”
J-Summa is a singer/songwriter hailing from Jamaica. His lifelong passion for music saw him start singing at nine years old before taking up guitar playing in his teenage years. Drawing inspiration from a soulful collection of artists, featuring the likes of Al Green, Marvin Gaye and Bobby Womack, J-Summa has grown from strength to strength with each new turn of his artistry. Since crossing paths with his manager and producer Rocky in 2016, J-Summa has performed at Richard Branson’s Necker Cup as well as at the European Union’s 60th anniversary in Jamaica.
