OZZYWORLD! is a man with a lot on his mind and a bona fide way to get it all out. Hailing from Detroit, he takes a different path than many of his contemporary Motor City counterparts.
As OZZYWORLD! puts it, many of his cuts — like “Press (X) To Start The Session” — incorporate his philosophy, vices, family relationships and community presence.
“I have kids looking up to me for advice, inspiration and motivation to keep going with the dreams that they are chasing,” OZZYWORLD! said. “Also, I wanted to demonstrate that I’m just human and I understand the ups and downs of trying for something you think is special while dealing with personal desires, constant sinning and being as real as possible about my feelings.”
Music has been in Ozzy’s world for as long as he’s been in the world; he wrote his first full song at 7 years old, he plays all percussion instruments, and he’s currently in the process of learning piano.
However, there’s one thing that goes further back than sonic creation: writing.
“I’ve written countless essays and persuasive essays over the years,” he said. “I’ve been a writer before anything.”
Besides navigating life, OZZYWORLD! is moving full steam ahead with his music career. His next album, titled ROTTEN, is slated to drop in late October, and in addition to dropping singles in the meantime to keep us on our toes and entertained, he’s also working on shooting and editing his own music videos, further proving his skills extend far beyond the mic and into virtually all aspects of creative greatness.
