My name is Greatness and im repping the 478 Dublin Ga to be exact.
Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
My latest release Thiz Iz Not A Drill a 12 record project into my mind and how I feel or felt at the time of recording…it’s kind of angry yet melodic at the same time…heavy instrumentation.
What is unique about you and your music?
I’m from the south but my sound is very east coast…I love samples i got an old soul I guess because I love soul music so beats with heavy instrumentation or soulful samples get me everytime.
What shaped your music?
The shape of my music just comes from the hunger for more Dublin is a small town so we kind of get overlooked but I’m trying to change that because I’m not the only person there that’s spitting but all it takes is for one of to make it through the door and we outta there.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
I probably realized I wanted to make music around the third grade but nobody in my family or my peers even knew because I never talked about it they just knew I listened to alooootttt of music.
What type of music do you listen to?
Which goes into your next question…I’m big on east coast hip hop the boom bap sound of the 90s and soulful sound of the early 00s…Im a big Nirvana fan and my favorite overall artist of any genre is bob marley my favorite rapper is biggie tho…damian jr gong tuff too.
What inspires you to write music?
Life inspires me to write music and the competition I have with myself to make the next project better than the last…I write poetry everyday though it keeps me sharp.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
When im not doing anything musically im reading I read alot and watch boxing thats my favorite sport.

What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
My advice to artist that’s just starting out and what I wish I knew when I started is to keep pushing and perfected your style/craft and everybody that’s in your circle don’t want to see you win even if they say they do try to keep your moves silent and prove it with your work.

My upcoming projects let’s see let me think I have a tape dropping this year with me rapping over some of my favorite instrumentation from the industry and im getting “Chapter 2 Mundane Thoughts” ready for next year because Thiz Iz Not A Drill is actually a story and the album Thiz Iz Not A Drill is really just the 1st chapter.
