RAPHAEL returns to the pop R&B scene with the feel-good single ‘Love is Money.’ Set for release on April 10th, the track features RAPHAEL’s distinct vocal, which encapsulates the artist’s prestige, coupled with a spellbinding visual. The artist has received praise from publications such as Mystic Sons, Music Crowns, Vents, and more.
In RAPHAEL’s words, “The song celebrates the heart’s currency and the power of love. If I search for a feeling, I’m rich in my heart … love is like money in your pocket; if you’ve got it, you’re rich.” I sing in my song “Love is Money. ” There aren’t many who rule the world without a penny; yes, I can.”
RAPHAEL is a Nigerian-born singer/songwriter/producer who relocated to England when he was 11 years old, now calling London home. RAPHAEL has always been passionate about music, writing his first song when he was seven.
Debuting in May 2023 with the single ‘Faith,’ the single is about leaping into the unknown. RAPHAEL’s second single, ‘Dreams,’ continues the thread of risk taking with its messaging and music production and the importance of not giving up on our dreams. RAPHAEL’s newest venture outlines how “we are all rich in our hearts; when we have love, it’s like money in our pockets” he says “I wanted to celebrate the real riches in life and share my experience of feeling like I am the richest man in the world because of the things in my heart.”
Alongside the track is an accompanying music video; RAPHAEL explains, “Music videos are an integral part of my artwork, and it helps tell my stories of my singles visually. My videos chronicle the journey of an astronaut. The Astronaut is a beacon of light and hope for diversity and inclusivity. Anyone can be an Astronaut regardless of race, gender, age, and social status. We are all the same in many ways and would all be the same at face value in a spaceman suit.”
