Nadav Sivan is returning, this time with his first full-length album. The artist blends an eclectic mix of genres together, pop, hip-hop, soul and even classical to create songs of anthemic proportions. The artist seamlessly transitions between high-energy and assured tracks to slower and emotive ballads, with each song creating its own atmosphere. Lead track ‘A+’ features expansive instrumentation, including energetic percussion and aggressive strings to back up the confident vocal performance delivered by Nadav. It’s almost cinematic in it’s texture, whilst still maintaining the catchy pop sensibilities that Nadav is known for.
On the new single, the artist shares:
“The song is full of swagger but it is also a bit cynical because it’s not the way I really feel – that I’m always an A+ – but on the other hand it is so much fun to feel like that sometimes.
I wish everyone could sometimes manage to take a break, look back, appreciate and be proud of themselves and what they’ve managed to achieve, doesn’t matter what: family, relationships or career. Whatever. And that’s what I want the song to make people feel.”
Partially deaf until the age of 4, Nadav had an operation to repair his hearing and his parents bought him a piano to get used to sound. From this Nadav’s passion for music grew and grew, both working in and playing music ever since, including experience in orchestral and choir arrangement. His previous single ‘Us To Stop’ has seen success for both the song and accompanying video. It won multiple awards at film festivals all over the world as well as sending a message for an LGBTQ friendly lifestyle.
Alongside his album release Nadav looks ahead to performances in both Tel Aviv and London to wrap up 2023. A distinct style, clear vision and important message, ‘Til The Day We Die’ is another step towards the top for Nadav Sivan.
